The Knitting Group
Contact: Kath Herman on 04 478 4813 or the Church Office
Time: Every Thursday from 10am to 12 noon (during winter – starting about Easter and finishing Labour weekend)
The Village Church Knitting Group’s main focus is on knitting for Charity, although we have enjoyed all sorts of embroidery, quilting and knitting over the years. Members bring their own work (and complete many unfinished pieces) and we share ideas and patterns so it’s an opportunity to develop your own creative skill while enjoying the company of others. The Group also attends exhibtions. Anyone is welcome to join.
Speakers are invited to attend after the church service to discuss various issues. They take the form either of discussion groups or a lecture.
Anyone is welcome to attend.
Time: Weekly, Tuesday mornings 10.30am
The Bible Study group meets on a Tuesday to engage with biblical texts in detail, learn about contemporary biblical scholarship and connect the Bible to every day life in the 21st century.
Youth Group – Merge Youth!
Contact: Brett Reid 0272381074 firstname.lastname@example.org
Time: Friday evenings 6:30pm-8:30pm, during term time
So, what do you get up to on a Friday night?! You should come and join us at youth group!! 🙂
Khandallah Presbyterian has joined forces with Ngaio Union and Wadestown Presbyterian Churches to deliver a youth group for young people of those three communities and beyond! We welcome all Intermediate (Y7-8) and High School (Y9-13) aged young people, not solely those from Khandallah, Ngaio, or Wadestown.
Our Friday evening gatherings tend to be more social, so we might do lazer tag, board game nights, movie evenings, Master Chef competitions, or an evening of sport – each week is different. We then finish our Friday evenings with a ten minute faith-based reflection for the week, called God-time. We encourage our young people to ask us those faith questions they’ve always wanted to know the answer to and then we discuss it the following week.
